Open Role Descriptions

Secretary (VACANT) 

• Maintains official records of the board, including meeting agendas, minutes, and board membership and organizational documents.

• Ensures board members receive timely communication and materials before meetings.

• Supports clear documentation of decisions, motions, and follow-up actions.

Brand & Communications (SOCIAL MEDIA)

• Overseas Art Smart’s brand, messaging, and public image to ensure consistency and alignment with mission.

• Supports communication strategies, including marketing, social media, and community engagement efforts.

• Leverages personal expertise and networks to increase visibility and strengthen the organization’s reputation.

ART NIGHT Committee (Chair & 1–2 Members Needed):

• Prepare art collection and display for the Yearly Fundraiser ART SHOW.

• Coordinate with the Fundraiser committee for Yearly Fundraiser ART SHOW – report to all board members on progress.

• Coordinate students and parent volunteers for set up/display, clean up, and storage of art.

• This committee will be busiest in late Winter/early Spring

Fundraising Committee (Chair & 4 Members Needed):

• Recruit volunteers to support the programming and Art Night committees (as needed) 

• Create and disseminate volunteer schedules, training and instruction to volunteers.

• Create communication channels so volunteers can stay connected as needed during events

• Send out reminders to all volunteers one week and 2 days before events. 

• Plan fundraising activities including holiday plant sale and any other new fundraising activities

• This committee will be busiest based on when fundraising events are scheduled. 

  • Normally there is a plant sale before the winter break and in early May

Being added to the volunteer roster simply means you’re interested in lending a hand during or leading up to events and agree to be contacted when volunteers are needed. It does not commit you to volunteering—it only means the board may reach out to see if you’re available to help.
